Thus, the Ministries of the Interior and Local Authorities (MICT), Public Works Transport and Communications (MTPTC), Defense (MD), Environment, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) will jointly carry out mitigation, river cleaning and retention wall construction with the aim of minimizing property damage and loss of life.

For their part, the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) and the Haitian Red Cross reassured the Head of Government, also president of the CNGRD, that ambulances, mobile rapid response teams in case of resurgence of cholera, lifeguards, rescue equipment, including seven boats, will be prepositioned throughout the ten departments.
